How It Works
Cooking Unit Converter uses ingredient-specific density data from the USDA FoodData Central and King Arthur Flour to convert between volume and weight measurements accurately.
Unlike simple unit converters, we account for the fact that a cup of flour weighs differently than a cup of sugar. This gives you more accurate results for baking and cooking.
Disclaimer
- Conversions are approximate and may vary by brand, humidity, and measurement technique.
- For baking, weight measurements (grams) are more accurate than volume (cups).
- When precision matters, we recommend using a digital kitchen scale.
